TIGER Moves into Phase III - Implementation

In 2009, TIGER will move forward to integrate the full set of recommendations of the nine collaborative teams into the nursing community along with colleagues from disciplines across the continuum of care.

TIGER Initiative has over 1100 nurses working to bridge the healthcare quality chasm with information technology. 

The Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform (TIGER) Initiative released a summary report titled
Evidence and Informatics Transforming Nursing:  3-Year Action Steps toward a 10-Year Vision.

This report provides an executive summary of the TIGER activities through 2008, as well as a brief synopsis of each of the findings and recommendations of the nine collaborative teams. 

The 9 collaborative teams formed to accelerate the work of the TIGER Action Plan.  Each of their individual reports will be available on the website in a few weeks. 

The TIGER Initiative started out as a grass-roots effort to engage with all stakeholders that are committed to a common "vision" of ideal technology-enabled nursing practice, today more than 100 organizations and more than 1000 individuals have joined the effort
to strengthen the voice of the nursing profession in the transformation of healthcare for the 21st centry.
